Craig Alan Heutzenroeder

 July 18, 1958 - August 30, 2017

Craig Alan Heutzenroeder was born to Doris and Gayle Heutzenroeder on July 18, 1958, and peacefully passed away August 30, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Atonement Lutheran Church with Rev. Jonathan Steiner officiating. A luncheon will follow and burial will take place after at Mt. View Cemetery in Keystone.

Craig was born and raised in Rapid City. He worked for several years at Hubbard Flour Mill, and most recently at West River International.  He was married to Joy Hasbrouck August 16, 1986.  To this union, his children Chris and Sam were born.  In his spare time, he loved attending races at the Black Hills Speedway and was honored to serve as flag man.  He had a sense of humor about life, and will be remembered for his laugh.  He enjoyed fishing, talking to friends, and sharing his humor with them.  Besides his kids, racing was his biggest love.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Sam Heutzenroeder (Anthony); loving son, Chris; granddaughter, Sophia Heutzenroeder; sister, Gaylene Guest (Jon); nieces, Kimberly Heutzenroeder and Tori Guest; uncle, Mike Grover; a number of cousins; and step-daughters, Sarah Byrd and Rebecca Wahl and their families; and ex-wife, Joy Hasbrouck with whom he had a renewed friendship. Joining them in mourning are several close friends from Black Hills Speedway, West River International, and others whom Craig touched with his humor and friendship.  He was preceded in death by his father; mother; step-father, Gary Reuland; and grandmother, Eleanor Grover.
