JAMES FREEMAN OBITUARY
PIERRE - James "Jim" Freeman, 46, of Pierre, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, St. Mary's Hospital, Pierre. Funeral service will be Monday, April 11, 2005, 10:00 a.m. CDT, New Life Assembly of God, Pierre. A second Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 12, 2005, 10:00 a.m. MDT, United Methodist Church, Rapid City. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Rapid City. Feigum-VanLith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be directed to Craig Hospital, 3425 S. Clarkson St., Englewood, CO 80113 or www.craighospital.org. James Freeman was born March 30, 1959 in Rapid City to Clint and Margo (Johnson) Freeman. He grew up in Rapid City and graduated from Rapid City Central High School. Following high school Jim started working in the electrical field. He worked for Clint's Electric and Dakota Electric in Rapid City before moving to Pierre in 1994. Jim worked for the South Dakota Electrical Commission for four years. In 1998, Jim opened his own business, Jim Freeman Electric and worked with his son Clint, until he was injured in May of 2002. Clint then ran the business until 2003. Jim worked with Clint as Office Manager for Riverside Electric until the time of his death. Jim was united in marriage with Tina Roberts in Rapid City on January 31, 1981. Jim was a member of Streetmasters Car Club in Pierre and a member of the South Dakota Electric Council. He loved spending time with family and friends, camping, boating, and Tara's daycare. He is survived by his wife Tina of Pierre; one son Clint and his fiancee Larissa of Pierre; one daughter Tara of Pierre; his father Clint and his wife Sandra of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers George and his wife Tina of Rapid City, Darol and his wife Debbie of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law Cheryl Miller of Spearman, TX; special friends Dan and Kim Doney, adopted grandchildren Andrew, Dillan, Paige, LaToya and Tatyana. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Margo, brother Kenny, grandparents Marvin and Bernice Johnson, grandmother Violet Kiefer, aunt Mary Slaughter.
